Philippines: Batangas: Pico Sands

Pico Sands, Nasugbu, Batangas

It's almost 2 years that we got stuck due to lockdowns and restrictions. Here's our quick escape to the beach during the holidays.

Going there: It's located in Nasugbu, Batangas and you can take the way from Cavitex, passing the sharp turns near Kabiang Tunnel.  Then, drop by any of the shops near Mountain Brew, this cafe have wide variety of coffee flavors.

Then continue to pass the long winding sharp turns until you reach Pico.

Try to get in before 11am, so you'll easily be accommodated for the check-in procedure and submission of luggage for disinfection.  Expect that there will be a long queue for both check-out and check-in after 11am.

You can stay in the Hotel Restaurant to get your lunch while waiting for your room. Once they were done cleaning and disinfecting the room,  they will call you once it's available to give you the keys.

It will be a long stroll from hotel going to the beach.  But you'll enjoy the view of the lake, flora and hanging bridge.  We preferred walking along the lake than taking the cart service in between places.

The beach seating areas are expected to always be occupied, so bring your own mat when you want to stay in the sands.

The white sand area is divided to hotel guests area and member-only area.  But when you come too early in the morning, you can keep on running on both areas.  The end areas will already be rocky.

From the beach area, there's a hidden path heading to the church.  Make sure to visit this place for an overlooking view.

There's reef bar near the beach area which offers mojito and pizza and more.

As most are prefer alfresco dining, don't worry when it rains.  Buffet breakfast is extended to the other restaurant to accommodate all guests who prefers both indoor and alfresco dining near the pool.

We stayed in the lagoon view room, but there is also mountain view available if preferred it.

Apart from staying on the beach you can also visit other places and try other services like kayaking, hiking and visiting the mangrove area.

Ensure to contact their Reservations for all other inquiries to set your expectation on which services are now available due to restrictions.

Celebrate life and be thankful to all our blessings.  Stay strong and keep safe!
