Bergen, Norway: Ulriken

Ulriken643 takes you by cable car to Ulriken, the highest mountain (of the seven) in Bergen.

A quick escape from the city center.  I took the tram heading to Haukeland sjukehus station. Plus a walked on a hill heading to the lower station of the cable car.

There are two machines available for the tickets, costs 435 nok for an adult round-trip ticket (2500 php, 2025).

Along the stairs is a brief introduction and history about the cable car.

Every 15 minutes, the cable car departs the station. It's just 10 minutes to reach the top station with an elevation of 643 meters (2,110 feet) above sea level.

For safety since I'm solo, I only check a short route for my hike activity.  (If you have been following me, during that time was the fourth mountain visited for the month of October 2025).

You may opt to rest, recharge, take photos and enjoy the over looking view of the city and the mountains near the cafe.

From Ulriken Cafe, ordered fish soup (steaming hot Bergen fish soup with vegetables milk, celery, served with butter and bread), 265 nok (1500 php, 2025)

Just like the Google reviews, if you have a choice, skip the cafe and have your meal at the city centre.

Mostly all are self-service.  Ticket machines, you tap your card to pay.  On ticket gates, you just scan your tickets to enter and exit.  At the cafe, scan the menu to order and pay online.

Apart from taking the cable car, you can opt to hike from the base to the top of the mountain.
