Tokyo, Japan: University and Books

Agricultural Museum, Tokyo University

I visited the university in 2014, as it is a quiet place and good place for autumn viewing

But this time in 2025, we have visited it as we want to skip the statue in Shibuya.  There was a time when Shibuya was under maintenance and with a sign saying that Hachiko is sleeping. With that, we visited the Hachiko statue with Professor Ueno.

The Waseda International House of Literature (The Haruki Murakami Library)

Location: Japan, 〒169-0051 Tokyo, Shinjuku City, Nishiwaseda, 1 Chome−6 4号館

I have not read any of the Murakami, but I wanted to visit the place because of Kengo Kuma.

There's a music room.

Designed by Kengo Kuma.

Kanda Jinbocho

We had switched places in between days, and we missed to consider that most of the stores in Jinbocho are closed on Sundays.

BookHouse cafe was supposed to be available, but closed early due to a private event.

We were supposed to visit Anegawa bookstore dedicated to cat books and cat postcards, but it is also closed.  Here are some I've seen from BookHouse.

What I wanted to see is the Yaguchi Bookstore due to its old facade.  Lucky enough, it was open.
