Location: In front of Kawaguchiko station, make sure to book a room facing the mountain.  It's affordable for its location, so book a room the earliest that you can.

Check-in: They are responsive in emails. They will accept your luggage if you arrive early.  But they will not store your luggage after you check-out. The uncles at the reception were very friendly and helpful.

You may get scared in the old elevator at first. It closes faster, no sensor, and be careful not to get hit. when using it. 

Security: Since it's an old building, they use old keys and an old elevator.

Room (1 X Mountain View Twin | 17 m²/183 ft² | Non-smoking | 2 single beds):

The room is spacious, old and well maintained.  Basic features of an old hotel room, from keys, lights, bathroom, flooring and walls. 

There is smart tv, but after 9pm, connection to Youtube went bad. It's an old building, so soundproof is not that good.  The banging hangers on the other room are a bit noisy. But glad to share, no spooky feeling here.

Overall, it has a good view of Fuji from dusk and breaking dawn.  We had a good rest and sleep after a long walk in Yamanashi.

Dining: Have your dinner early in Kawaguchiko.  If you go out after 8pm, most of the restaurants are either full or closing.  You can instead buy a haul from the convenience stores.

Check-out: If you need to leave early in the morning, just ask the reception for guidance the night before leaving.

Recommendation: Very good and affordable option for an overnight stay in front of Kawaguchiko station.
