2018: 7th Travel Madness Expo

It's time for the mid-year travel expo in the metro!  Visit the Travel Madness Expo 2018 at SMX Convention Center, Pasay City!

This year's expo is dominated by East Asian Countries of Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong.  The remaining booths are featuring some local hotels, other foreign airlines, snacks area and on sale luggage and travel packs.

Korea Pavilion

The reason I have visited the exposition is because I would like to attend the presentation of Jeollabuk-do. I was able to pass by this province in 2016 on a KTX travel from Daejeon to Suncheon, too bad that I did not spend days here on 2 weeks travel in South Korea.

I'm already familiar about Jeonju Hanok Village since it was featured in variety shows.  But I was able to learn more about this area, Jirisan (the mountain Joon Young hike on the day he returned in 2D1N), Muju firefly festival (spectacular evening natural light experience), stunning autumn colors of Naejangsan, Jeonju Nambu Market (for shopping) and Jeondong Cathedral (for Sunday mass and architecture).

The best experience for me on attending this, is getting a prize when I answered the question at the end of the presentation.  Thank you KTO Manila and Jeollabuk-do Tourism, I will surely use these travel packs or carrier pouches (by http://bottaplaza.co.kr/).

This did not stop me from joining other activities such as helping them to promote Korea by liking pages (VisitKorea, Incheon, Jeollabuk-do) and sharing photos on SNS.

There's also a promotional booth for Grevin Museum and travel packages by VisitKoreaForMe

At the end of the Stamp Tour, I got a Korean-style coin purse.  In Incheon booth, there will be schedule on when to spin the roulette wheel - I was able to get a fan.

Have fun in Korea Pavilion, do not just pass by, but be an active participant on the activities prepared by KTO Manila.

Korea Pavilion can be found on: Korea Tourism Organization - booth #59, 60~61; Incheon Tourism Organization - booth #55; Jeollabuk-do Province - booth #58; Asiana Airlines - booth #62; and Jeju Air - booth #56~57

Some of the informational brochures provided in the event.

Japan Pavilion

They were able to introduce and provide information, covering more cities of Japan for this year's expo.  Follow the activities provided by Japan National Tourism Organization - Philippines.

Promo flights are available from All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Jetstar, visit they booths or websites for more information.

Apart from this, activities such as Kanji writing and origami (paper folding) is also available. Photo booths are also available where you can share your photo to get some giveaways.

Brochures, maps, postcards and other souvenirs are available when you like and share their pages in SNS: Okinawa, Nagasaki, Wakayama, KobeTottoriHokkaido.

Some brochures are not displayed, but you can ask for assistance to get them and they were good enough to provide me which maps I need.

Taiwan Pavilion

Apart from maps and travel information, Taiwan booth covers more hotel experience.

Souvenirs and snacks to taste are also available for visitors.

The team featured sights, bike services, beaches, modern and traditional dances, plus aboriginal musical instruments during their program on the center stage.

These maps will surely be helpful on my next flight.

Got more souvenirs from the Taiwan booth.

And more than the activities, what I also appreciate is getting an advance knowledge thru brochures and opportunity on having actual maps for me to understand about the place in preparation for my trip.

Join the remaining exposition on July 7 Saturday - July 8 Sunday (10:00 am - 8:00 pm).
