Denmark: Frederiks Kirke

Frederiks Kirke or Frederiks Church (The Marble Church)

Accessible from Marmorkirken Station.  Generally, it's safe in Copenhagen.  Thus, it's a surprise to see the warning "Beware of pickpockets" by the church door.

I arrived late afternoon, and the strike of the sunlight to the done is so stunning.

After my arrival in Copenhagen, just went to the hotel to check-in.  I went straight to the church which I missed on my first visit. Thankful for giving me another chance to visit the church.

The dome is so majestic, I kept on looking at the ceiling.  The pillars feel so old.

The organ in the church was built in 1963 by Marcussen & Søn. [Reference]

The green dome is a remarkable architecture in the Copenhagen skyline.

Although it is commonly known as The Marble Church - "Ferdinand Melhdahl took over design and, due to a tight budget, was forced to swap from marble to limestone blocks in its construction." - [Reference]
