2017: Philippines: Korean Film Festival

Thanks to Korea Cultural Center (KCC) Philippines, as they celebrate this year another Korean Film Festival. Six films will be seen in selected local cinemas for free. For complete event details, click here.

How to Steal a Dog - Watch how a "ten-year-old Ji-so survive in living her daily life in pizza truck with her family".
  • Tear-jerker film on scenes when a poor father (who misses his daughter) talked to Ji Soo explaining that "more than money, he wants to help people quick fix their problem".  It was touching when this father helped and created dog house for poor Wolly.
  • How difficult it was for a mother to raise her kids inside a van.
  • It is an eye opener how creative kids could be in order to make their dreams (life pressure made by the society) come true. How they opted to do bad things to fix things, which might actually bring more conflicts to others.
  • High morale way of living in accepting our faults and being honest to persons who may not be dear to us, but we unknowingly care for. I is because we knew their struggles and understood the situation their are passing through.

My Brilliant Life - Dae-soo (Kang Dong-won) and Mi-ra (Song Hye-kyo) were both seventeen-year-old teenagers when they their son Ah-reum, who was diagnosed with the extremely rare genetic disorder Progeria, which makes him age prematurely and rapidly.

  • Tested the strength of being a father, mother and a child on how they support each other.
  • Even if you are physically disabled, you are strongly able to touch emotion by others.
  • Never play someone else's heart even if you are just communicating through mails.

Very Ordinary Couple - Lee Dong-hee (Lee Min-ki) and Jang Young (Kim Min-hee) work at the same bank.  Story about how they had an on and off relationship.

  • A bit rated for youngsters to watch.  Not so happy about the story, because it gave me doubt about how they feel with each other.
  • Until the end, you'll never know or I was not able to see or feel if they truthfully love each other even since they started their relationship.
  • Well, it dealt how couples go on unlimited fights, but it was also shown that even chingu-level or marriage-level, it is just easy to break-up or get divorced if trust became an issue.
  • Being cautious of not getting into fights is not always healthy as you are no longer yourself and more of pretending to be someone else. They definitely out-grew each other and suddenly burst when they realize that their too drained and exhausted by each other's existence.

The King of JokguHong Man-Sub (Ahn Jae-Hong) is known to be the “King of Jokgu” (a Korean sport that shares elements of both football and volleyball) and is infamous for his unstoppable foot spike.

Twenty - Twenty is a story of three friends in their 20s and must decide what to do with their life.
