Local festivities will of course lead to long queues waiting to buy tickets, getting into gates, getting into museums and buying snacks. Sadly the castle is closed due to maintenance activities during our visit. But good enough that we were able to roam around the castle grounds.
There were samurai doing the gun fire exhibition.
Mitarashi dango is a traditional rice dumpling with sweet soy glaze and is normally skewered on a bamboo stick.
