Price: Got the room with 45% discount on insider deal and had another discount applied by using my points.  Thanks to Agoda for this deal.

Panic Button On: I was not able to find the Exit# from Google Maps, so I assumed my way out and got lost.  Until I saw Daimyo Church, thanks God! It was actually in my itinerary to visit the place, but not at this early to be coming straight from the airport!  From there I already my way to my accommodation.

Location: Hotel is in Tenjin, at the further end of the Underground Shopping district.  Accessible by same subway line from the Airport Station.

Upon arrival and departure on the city (if with luggage), take the elevator on Exit 5, B2 going 1F (courtesy of Parco).  On a daily scene, I prefer Exit 4, as this is the closer gate (but without Underground Shopping) to the hotel. Turn right on the next street.  Cross the Showa Dori, it will be behind Media Popeye.

Check-in: A quick one, filled-up a form, submitted a passport and it's done!  There's a free wifi at the room.  Check-out is at 11am where you can leave your luggage at the counter and get it back in the afternoon.

Room: Size: 13 sq.m., 1 Double Bed
It is small and a bit run down.  There is no clothes cabinet but 2 hangers are provided that you can use.  Bed and carpet are too old, but was able to keep me warm on summer nights at 13 degrees Celsius.  I have read some comments that this does not have air-conditioner, but there is, the controller is installed on the bedside.

Water heater and 2 basic teas are given, a glass and a cup are also available.  They also have hair dryer and cord extensions in the room.

The bathroom is small but functional, it has old bidet functions unlike modern buttons in the airport.  The toiletries set is replenished daily.

Service: Good one - I called them because the wifi service is not working on my floor. In 5 mins I got a visit on my room, after an hour, I had the connection back after they have restarted the router.

Downside: It’s nice to have clothes cabinet and English channel.

Culinary Experience: I did not have the breakfast meal in the Hotel.  There are water, juice and coffee vending machines on selected floors.  There are close by Family Mart and Lawson stores if you prefer breakfast within a budget.

There is Tully's Cafe across the main road.  There are Japanese restaurants (e.g. Curry House Coco) and also Italian Pizzeria within the block.

Reminder:
  • The room door is self-locking.
  • Check-out time is 11:00.
  • Close the door when you use the bathroom.  The fire alarm operates because of steam.

Verdict: Check your target destinations, if it's using JR lines better stay in Hakata (the area in Canal direction is a good walking as well).  But if you prefer Shopping District, Tenjin is a good choice.  Although Don Quijote is on Nakasu-Kawabata station.
