Kyoto, Japan: ShinPuhKan

New complex shopping place in Kyoto, ShinPuhKan is a combined area for Ace Hotel, cafes, restaurants, and stores.

There are a lot of cafes to try in this place.  But since there is already a Cafe Kitsune branch in The Podium and soon in Uptown, thus I skipped this branch in Kyoto.

Visit Travellers Factory for anything stationery, and travel-related stuff.

We took the wrong door and reached the lobby of Ace Hotel.  We saw some people holding their cup, while they were working, chatting in Ace hotel, so we did the same.  We choose to have our coffee in Stumptown Coffee Roasters.

And to my surprise looking at the ceiling, hmmm.  Looks like this is a Kengo Kuma.  The design is the same as the one in Starbucks (inside) inside Dazaifu (outside).

Apart from drinks, you can also buy coffee beans from this store.

So if you are staying in Ace Hotel, everything looks to be a stone away.
