Holiday spirit is now in Starbucks as we were able to try some of the seasonal beverages that is offered in Japan (which some are not available in the Philippines).
Butter Caramel Mille-feuille (in Dazaifu)
A crunchy and crispy texture reminiscent of the layers of mille-feuille dough, that is stretched out very thinly, baked, and crushed into small pieces - fiantine. Has a mellow and fragrant butter caramel syrup and custard syrup are added to a latte that combines espresso and milk. With butter caramel syrup, crispy fiantine and pie crumbs. [menu]
Even if you already stirred your drink, you'll still have that crispy bits as you sip your coffee.
Creme Brulee Latte (in Takeo City Library)
Gingerbread Latte
A slightly sweet and spicy latte inspired by gingerbread cookies. It can also be customize with soy milk for a mild and gentle taste. [menu]
We also ordered Uji matcha chiffon cake for 440 yen (180 php, 2022) and bacon and spinach quiche for 418 yen (170 php, 2022) while enjoying books during our visit at Takeo City Library.
Chilled Classic Starbucks cup
As a fan of Starbucks cafe latte cups available from convenience stores like Family Mart, I ensure to try anything available from stores.
We also saw a triple-chocolate cafe from 7/11. Hope to have more time next time to try the other flavors from the chilled classics.
