Red buns at Dazaifu
Food: red buns
Price: 130 yen (53 php, 2022)
Location: Dazaifu Old Street
Personal Preference: 8 out of 10
From Dazaifu bus station, we headed straight to the old street to check-out the buns. This is because we want to avoid the crowd and to only have a small snack before we go to Kamado Shrine.
From our short trip at Kamado Shrine, we headed back to the old street. Luckily, there is no queue , try to visit the Starbucks, famous about it's architecture and design. Then, we continue our journey to Dazaifu Shinto Shrine.
Takoyaki-doraku WANAKA Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport
Food: takoyaki, Canada ale
Price: Affordable
Location: Lalaport Food court
Website: ig@wanaka_takoyaki | http://www.takoyaki-wanaka.com/
Personal Preference: 9 out of 10
We saw a food truck in Tenjin Chuo Park selling out takoyaki, however we are still full during that time.
Thus, we got ours during our visit in Lalaport. You can find it at the food court area in 3F.
We choose 4 flavors combination set, with 2 balls per flavor and Canada ale.
Ramen Stadium
You can opt to visit Yatai nearby Canal area or Ichiran (which is open for 24hrs) in Nakasu area.
This time we opted to visit Ramen Stadium, here there are eight shops selling at the 5F of Canal City.
We arrived around 4pm, which is an off-peak hour so there are lesser visitors, which we suggest you do as well to enjoy the place at peace. This place used to be busier during lunch and dinner time.
Ramen and Tsukemen

We chose and bought Hakata ramen and bite-size gyoza.
Ramen in Fukuoka International Airport
During our visit, only one restaurant is open. Most shops and stalls are closed during December 2022 (at 4pm).
Below are some of the non-traditional food that we tried.
Ta-Te Kegomachi
Food: pumpkin soup with grilled vegetables, juicy chicken fillet salad, Apple and plum crumble tart (a seasonal dessert menu), Japanese tea
Price: Expensive
Location: 2F Oak Building 1, 2-18-13 Kego, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka

Muji Cafe and Meal
Food: lunch set, cheesecake
Price: Expensive
Location: 2F, 1 Chome-15番41号 Daimyo, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka, 810-0041, Japan
Website: https://www.muji.com/
Personal Preference: 9 out of 10
Some Muji Cafes only offer coffee with cakes and pastries. You can visit one in Canal City.
But if you are looking for a lunch set meal, visit the one in Tenjin. The set meal is your choice of 3-side dishes for 900 yen or 4-side dishes for 1000 yen. It will be served with a soup and your choice of white or brown rice.
We added a cheesecake for 250 yen (but the blueberry cheesecake in Starbucks is still far the best).
Yebisu Bar
Food: pasta, karaage, salad, afternoon strawberry tea
Price: Average
Location: 1-1 Hakataekichuogai, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, 812-0012, Japan
Website: https://www.ginzalion.jp/
Personal Preference: 10 out of 10
While roaming around Hakata underground, we bump into Yebisu Bar. Because it sounds like Ebisu which is our server location in Tokyo, thus we choose this place.
Kidding aside, we were craving for pasta that time. The restaurant has digital menu with English text, but we were not able to successfully order. Glad that their server is very much helpful in selecting the buttons for us.
In the end, we had a feast of Napolitan pasta (Japanese-style spaghetti dish made with tomato based ketchup), karaage (deep fried chicken), salad and afternoon strawberry tea.
