Saga, Japan: Takeo Library

 

We learned about this place when looking for options on which library to see in Japan.  Takeo City Library was included in Beautiful Modern Libraries Designed by Master Architects in Japan.

The place is huge, the ground level contains small shop for calendars, stamps, books, books for both adults and kids, and Starbucks.  It doesn't promote taking photos in the area, it requires social distancing and facemask on.

We asked for the English section which can be found in the 2nd floor.  Although, it is only small selection available, we choose 2 books and went back to ground level.

Bought our cafes and spend the afternoon running around the pages.  Uji matcha chiffon cake for 440 yen (php, 2022) and bacon and spinach quiche for 418 yen (php, 2022).  Check more of our seasonal sips on Starbucks.
