Kyoto, Japan: Night viewing at Eikan-do Temple

 

Travel Date: 19 November 2023 

The Autumn night exhibition at Eikan-do Temple runs for a limited time between November and December.  Guide will be posted a few days before the open date. Regular open hours can be seen here. 

All visitors during day time will be requested to leave the garden, before they open the ticket and gates for night visitors.

Most of the halls and temples will have limited access. 

Early parts of the garden still have green trees.  Luckily as we go along the pathways, autumn foliage becomes evident.

For safety, visitors are now allowed to stop at the bridges.  But we're allowed to take photos of the pond after crossing the bridge.

There is also a snack bar that you can enjoy with the chilly breeze.

Overall it was a good experience for autumn night viewing at the temple.
