We are chasing autumn in Osaka and looking between Minoh Falls or Katsuo-ji temple. But since we had already been forest bathing in Kyoto and it seems like the temple has more character, thus we chose Katsuo-ji.
From Senrichuo Station, there are only four bus trips going and it starts at 9:10am. We wanted to start a bit earlier just to beat the crowd, so had this idea of taking a taxi instead. Comparing to four stations, (Senrichuo, Kita-Senri, Mino-o stations), it is Saito-Nishi that is the closest 7.2km at 14 mins drive.
Successfully arriving early, we made it to the place with very few locals.
The mist is said to be artificial that's coming from the base of the bridge.
The place is also good to be visited in spring as there are flowering plants along the way. For us, it was a good autumn spot for November.

The place if covered with Daruma dolls which is a symbol of good luck. Check this

Once you reach the top, there are seating areas you can rest. It's allowing you to reflect on your life while watching the clouds, trees, forest and nature in front of you.

We do appreciate this visit as it was serene, quiet, and we reached the top with empty tourists.
By the time we were leaving, there is already flock of tourists in front of Daruma dolls. There is only one bus station and it's the one going back to the town proper. We took the bus going to Senri-chuo station.
