Seoul, South Korea: 6 days Itinerary and Expenses

Seoul, South Korea: 6 days Itinerary and Expenses

Accommodation: Where to stay in Seoul?
High Street Guest House

Food: Where to eat?
Food Crawl

Itinerary: Places to go, Things to see, What to do?

Our initial snow hunting trip was on February 2016, but what we have seen were frozen lake and muddy mountain.  Now December 2019, we have skipped the idea of going to ski resorts.  But instead, we pushed for the white birch forest hiking and luckily found about Chilgapsan Ice Fountain Festival.

From below, you'll notice that we also skipped a lot of university sites, this is because there is no snow in the city.  We are after seeing the school architecture with winter backdrop.

Expense Report: Budget Travel Guide

In reality, this is not one of the budget trips we had.  We bought our tickets one month before the travel date and the cost is almost triple than the on-sale fares.  I had very limited time in planning the trip and just booked the cheapest accommodation to cut-down the expenses.

Overall, it became a food crawl adventure, thus shows that the highest budget expense went to food category.

Returning Gifts, Omiyage, Pasalubong Ideas

On this trip, we found out that the honey butter almonds expanded to multiple flavors.  Just like the kitkat of Japan, Korea found something to enjoy with unending flavor to choose from on these almonds.

See more for other options on what to buy as your returning gifts.

*Remember you still need to decide for yourself based upon your attraction and fascination over a place or activity.  As well as to consider the pace you want to have while traveling.  Planning too many targets on a day will either exhaust you rather than give you peace and joy on the culture and tradition.

Create your own road, rather than taking someone else's path.  It can only be a road when one passes it.

  1. Asian countries are so creative with the packaging. In Europe we don't have such a thing.
