Japan: Hotel Kuretakeso Takayamaekimae
Location: Although most of the interesting places are walking distance from East Exit, staying at this hotel which is very close to West Exit will not harm your stay.

Both Takayama station exits are accessible with stairs, escalators and elevators.
Security: You need to tap your card before pressing your floor. They will provide you with the password to get inside ladies' public onsen.
Check-in: Very quick when no one's on queue. But it may get complicated if you are checking-in with irate guests.
Room: We initially booked a twin room for 2 nights. Then I booked a double-bed room for another night.
Both were clean, almost the same size. May encounter difficulty in opening luggage, but re-arranging some furniture will help you roam around your stuff
Facility: Laundry rooms is available in 3F and 6F. However, there are only 2 washer and 2 dryers available in each or the 2 rooms. I see it as a low availability to serve 7 floors.
Pros: There's public onsen that we did not try. There's a free simple dinner (curry plate) for a limited time. I like the free drinks during happy hour.
