South Korea: Sungkyunkwan University's Autumn Colors

Hidden from the main road of the school, there is this perfect spot to catch autumn changing colors in Sungkyunkwan University.

Coming from Bukchon area, I took a bus and arrived at the south (back) gate of the university.  Being on the higher ground, you'll get to have this scene (horizon of buildings)  and sea of trees.

As I walk down further towards the main gate, I was able to find the doors leading to this hidden space.  From afar it looks like 2 intertwined ginkgo trees.

On a closer look, how come there are red leaves up above?  It's so magical to see that the maple tree already became yellow just like the colors of the ginkgo leaves.

While capturing the moment, another traditional secluded door suddenly opened and these young students came by to have their photo taken on the nearby old building.

On that afternoon, there was a spectacular clash of the sunset, fiery red maple leaves and shining yellow ginkgo leaves.

A lot of local photographers are also enjoying the scene.

I did not bring my SLR, but I was fond of taking pictures of photographers carrying those long lenses.
