This is my 3rd visit on Seoul Autumn Lantern Festival since 2011, sadly this year is not the best for me. It seems like some lanterns were unfinished yet (I have excluded them on this post). Below are some of the better colored lanterns dedicated to Pyeongchang Olympics.
I'm wondering me why many locals still light up these lanterns and set them on Cheonggyecheon Stream - possibly it's one of their traditions and belief. Anyway, at least it's generating the fund that can help these activities to continue in the future.
There's a section when the lanterns from last year was reused for this year. Below are the new lanterns on the stream.
This is from the Philippines, looks the same as last year. I guess there are many more big lanterns in Pampanga Giant Lantern Parade that are better than this. Hope they can tap those who participate in Pampanga to also join the stream lanterns in the years to come.
